Who's who to reach in Congress about High-Speed Rail

This is a list of Senators and Congressmen that have considerable influence in shaping the direction of funding for or against high-speed rail.  They need to hear from all of us.  If you oppose high-speed rail, please tell them.

This information came to me by way of Mike Akita, a recently discovered colleague and correspondent.  Let me also say that this list is far from complete and we will be providing additional names of members of Congress in the next several days.

I'm a big believer in phone calls or snail mail on paper.

Here is what Mike says about this:

These are the most influential Republicans/Tea Party
legislators in Senate andHouse to contact.
You can't really email them unless you provide
a zip code and address showing you live in their
congressional district.

At this point, with the House Legislation introduced
to strip all current, unspent, and future federal funding
for CAHSR project, the lobbying needs to happen in
the Senate, where Obama will try to keep some form
of federal funding going for HSR nationally, which
apparently only leaves CA or the eastern Corridor
between NY and Boston - which Mica prefers.
Lobbying of Mitch McConnell and the Senators will be key.
